See It

I don’t watch TV.   Like ever.   Except for So You Think You Can Dance.   I have a hard time sitting still for that long. And I’m bored out of my mind.  Sometimes we get Mythbusters or the BBC Sherlock or…what else?  I don’t know; not a lot of TV stuff.  And most movies aren’t even doing it for me these days.  But some do.
Some I’ve liked in the past year or so…
127 Hours (Was that from last year? I don’t know.)–Great Direction.
BuckWhy can not someone like that be our president?
Exporting Raymond–Brilliant.  I always liked Everybody Loves Raymond.

The King of Kong–Who knew?  Certainly not me.  Who cares? Me.

Moneyball–Loved.

And then the movie I’ve watched twice in the last week, and want to watch again.  Seriously, can’t quit thinking about it.

Have you seen Warrior?  Absolutely one of the best anythings I have ever seen everever.  I wish I could write like that.  I wish every person who was involved in the process of making a movie took the time that these people did in crafting it.  Script, direction, lighting, filming, acting, direction, editing.  This movie had so many opportunities to turn cheesy or boring or preachy or heavy-handed, but it didn’t.   So tight.   So, so, tight.  Every emotion.  Perfection!!!!!!

When they’re fighting, Sparta, and the camera is maintaining a focus through the cage…how is that done?

Gushing.  It’s my blog.  I can do that.
